“Legal Exposure “Lifting the Corporate Veil” in Deciding Matrimonial Property

Article: “Legal Exposure “Lifting the Corporate Veil” in Deciding Matrimonial Property

The Law Review 2009

Authors: Norliah Ibrahim and Zuhairah Ariff Abd Ghadas

The study undertaken in this article is rather creative and unique as it looks into the application of the famous principle (Lifting the Corporate Veil) from Company Law in matrimonial cases. The authors put forth cases heard in the Civil and Syariah Courts. The article is easy to understand and would be useful to Undergraduate and Graduate students. Some academics tend to be self-absorbed and write to show their so-called intellectual depth rather than making readers understand their writings. Upon examining the works of these self-absorbed academics, I conclude that they actually just quote other great writers in their writings, throwing bombastic words, focus on the trees and ultimately miss the forest. They are actually “cut and paste” academics. Based on this enriching article, I hereby conclude (I sound imperious here) that these academics cum writers (Dr Norliah Ibrahim and Dr Zuhairah Ariff Abd Ghadas), fortunately do not come within the category of self-absorbed cut and paste academics. Their article is indeed beneficial and illuminating. Kudos for Dr Norliah Ibrahim and Dr Zuhairah Ariff Abd Ghadas.
